Nutrition For Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD – Educational Video
The Film, “Is Your Child’s Brain Starving?” Lecture on how diet can contribute to ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) by Dr. Michael R. Lyon, MD. Shot at Mount Royal College, Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Lyon – “As the director of a medical & research centre, I have explored a variety of potential treatments to improve brain function in children and adults, without the use of drugs like Ritalin. Although I believe there is promise in certain herbal medicines and in non-drug treatments such as biofeedback, I have seen the most profound improvements in learning and behaviour through an intelligently applied nutritional program.” Notes from cameraman (Gordon McDowell): Dr. Lyon later emailed me a copy of his Power Point presentation , which I’ve incorporated into the video. Hey! Have you considered intellectus diet (do a google search for intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my cousin lost tons of weight with it.
@AppleSouffle
wheres your proof ?
if fast food creates ADHD you would see a vast majority of the population with it. And you are saying im buying into crap from drug pushers, yet you are buying into crap from “Doctor Bob’s Guide to Stop ADHD in 18 Days”
ever heard of the saying “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isnt ” ? if Adhd could be cured, there would be no problem, yet some guy is making money off of a book claiming to cure this disorder, your just a conspiracy theorist
Muchookees, you’ve just bought into the crap from the drug pushers.
Cool book: Doctor Bob’s Guide to Stop ADHD in 18 Days.
Vegetable oils and trans fats get incorporated into brain cell membranes and make them short circuit. Sugar leaches minerals from the body. Mercury from vaccines is toxic.
A healthy diet of saturated fats and fish (high in omega 3 fats) helps build healthy cell membranes and neurotransmitters.
The fast food, French fries, high sugar, corn syrup diet creates ADD.
Many people watch your videos, why not post your link to EZHUH.COM get paid for the people watch and make videos.
also … wheres the proof that a change in diet is reactivating that part in the brain ? it seems more likely its stimulating other parts of the brain which makes compensating and masking the symptoms easier … either way adhd is something thats a lifelong battle with yourself, the only way to cure it is to learn to live with it, which is easier said than done
ADHD has been proven to be a highly genetic disorder … about 1/3 are acquired types (either from troubled birth or from mother smoking/drinking) so maybe this video would apply to mothers who are pregnant …. but other than that i would say this is no cure for ADHD, it may help in the childs brain development so it could give a higher chance that they are 1 of the lucky few who grow out of adhd, but for 90% of those with adhd it will never go away.
Nice job on the video looks good. When you have time come visit my channel!

@huckler1 I have been taking Concerta and felt the same as your son. Meds have not been helpful at all for me. In any way. I am doing therapy, exercicing and eating healthy and also have started with meditation lessons. I have already felt great benefits that have never felt before. I feel relieved and optimistic. Take care.
Actually, I’ve heard from doctors that soy is loaded with carcinogens and female hormones. Soy is not a healthy food!
Global warming is hype! Yes the climate changes, but the main cause is the sun, not human activity.
@TheRealBarefootWonde, being stubborn isn’t necessarily a bad thing if its used for protecting ones own prosperity.
So if someone disagrees with being more dependant upon the system their a fanatic?
ADHD is a glucose imbalance in the brain. How do I fix this without taking adderall? This video is wayyy tooo longgg. Get to the point.
@tessinterupted3
i agree with you. meditation works the best…
i did everything i could , more sleep, no sugar, no red meat, quiet times daily b/4 bed, fish, brewers yeast , major Vit B’s, etc etc. when i fianally had exhausted my choice we did medication and he went from D’s to B’s within 6 weeks in 3rd grade. he was so proud of himself, (what bothered me most about ADD was hes loosing his positive Self esteem.,, heartbreaking for a mom to observe in the child) he stayed medicated untill he was 15 yrs old he went right down to d’s and failing

very informative, thank you. My son has add and is taking adderrall,since he has been on it his character has changed,he doesn’t laugh..he seems monotone and sort of depressed. I am going to try taking him to a naturopath and see if we can get to the root of the problem. I will update you with my sons progress.
First thank you very much. I watched this as my girlfriend is a very busy immigration lawyer who claims to have ADHD. I know she is often very stressed and her work does interfere with her eating patterns. She’s also only eats chicken (I imagine she misses some things with not eating fish). Is it fair to assume that this information is suitable for adults too? Again thank you for being so in depth with the information. Also does anyone know of a safe chelation treatment (for Thermiserol)?
