Hey Doc great work, great info, I went to a physician here In Jackson, Wy to do a detailed thyroid and hormone household test since I was worried of my fairly low metabolism and a lot that you mentioned matched too, anyways the doctor did a blood test and told me on the phone that everything was cool and that i am healthy and should stop worrying about it.. Can you please tell me what kind of tests do I have to run in order to find out the solution for my metabolism?

Your Doctor can have your hormones tested and they can prescribe hormone replacement therapy if you need it. Thyroid hormones can be taken as a pill, but I’m not sure if the others are pill or shots.

Oh yeah obviously i’m a fat person for empathizing with someone else’s plight.
You’re a jackass.

There are no “fat burning hormones”.
fat is burned through work. Do enough work, your metabolism speeds up, and more fat is burned even when you are not working.
Simple Biology 101. Do you know what a calorie is?

Why thank you.
It is not a “one day” thing…it is a LIFESTYLE.
Get a fire under your ass and lose some weight. It’s hard, but nothing worthwhile is easy.
So put down the ho-hos and get running, swimming, walking, something!
Lazy.

Wow the amount of douchebaggery in your post is disgusting.
You honestly think most fat people just said one day, “Fuck this being thin thing, gimme ‘dem crispy cream donutz! MMMMmm donutz!1″??
A lot fat people had or still have no idea why they are the way they are! Not to mention obesity often causes motivation problems in a vicious cycle.
God forbid you have to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes.

I HAVE THE IQ OF A JELLY DONUT AND TYPE IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I AM A FATTY POSING AS THIN ON THE INTERNET.
Put down the fork, fatty.
November 4th, 2009 at 5:23 pm
Yes. Not even one fat person.
They were all thin, and most walked everywhere, especially to the awesome train system they have.
It was like bizzaro world.

Do your hormones prevent you from doing sit-ups?
…From eating salads instead of Big Macs?
Just wondering.

On this much we can agree.
When I returned from Japan 6 years ago, I got ff the plane and my eyes were opened at how disgusting we are as a nation (the U.S.).
It was thin, healthy people, then….fat, obese sows.
It is not just the diet, it is also the lazy lifestyle many of my fellow Americans lead.
I say, for 95% of them…it’s their own damned fault. I have no sympathy when these pigs get diabetes, heart attacks, etc.
We build our futures one day at a time.
